Member, American Bar Association (chair, veterans administration law section); Maryland State Bar Association; Washington County Bar Association (pres., 1989); Judge Advocates Association; Naval Reserve Lawyers Association. Director, Washington County Help Line. President, Hagerstown Civil War Round Table.
