Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1966 (special commendation, 4th highest grade awarded on bar exam). Member, American and District of Columbia Bar Associations; Maryland State Bar Association (pres., 1982-83; board of governors, 1976, 1979, 1981-84); Montgomery County Bar Association (designated conciliator, 1993); Prince George's County Bar Association (board of directors, 1975-78); American Judicature Society. Life member, American and Maryland Bar Foundations. Member, Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, 1985; fund-raising committee, Treatment and Learning Center, Rockville, 1990.
